Bio
A graduate of Kalamazoo College in Michigan, Dr. Collins earned his medical degree at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He then did his internship and a residency in internal medicine at The Christ Hospital and a second residency in anesthesiology at the UC Medical Center.
Dr. Collins served as the pain program director at Mercy Franciscan Western Hills and Deaconess hospitals, and also as a director of the department of anesthesia at Deaconess Hospital. He joined AAC and PMA in 1998 and is one of six physicians in our interventional pain practice through PMA.
Dr. Collins is a diplomate of the American Boards of Internal Medicine and Anesthesiology. He earned subspecialty certification in interventional pain management from the American Board of Anesthesiology. He is involved in leadership positions in the Ohio Society of Anesthesiologists, serving as president in 2003-2004, and place and active role in the local and national societies, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and the International Anesthesia Research Society.
